First of all, welcome to SoM, I hope you'll enjoy ;)
You do not really need a teacher if you wish to know more about witchcraft and develop your skills and you abilities.
Basically, all what you have to do is to:
Read
Practice
Be serious and use your logic and maturity
I am sure that you will be able to easily handle those things.
So before you start out you have to learn the basics, such as:
Meditation
Energy manipulation and direction
Centering
Grounding
Visualation
Shielding
You will also need to learn about besical stuff about spell casting before you start casting your spells, such as (the other sort of basics apply as well) :
Tools and other ritual supplies
Moon phases
Circle casting
Planetary hours and days
Colors
After finishing with basical stuff you will be able to keep learning, developing your skills and gaining experience.
Of course that being taught by teachers and other kinds of mentors is not a bad idea as well. Find someone that you fully trust, and let this person to teach you and expose you to some magical practices. You can find people who offer to mentor in the advertisements forum of this site, many people wish to help newbies and beginners. You can also contact to many people here for tips and advices, not only for being taught.
However, please be careful. Accept teaching only from someone who you fully trust and find as knowledgeable and skillful. People can mislead you and lead you to wrong directions. Please use your logic and brain to recognize people with bad intentions.
