To tell or not to tell...

First of all, how is everyone today?
I need some advice.
My family is extremely devout in the Christian faith and I am Wiccan. They have no idea and I am pretty sure it would not be a pretty sight if they found out. But lately, I am growing tired of hiding. I just want to be who I am openly! I don't want to have to worry all the time about them finding out. I don't want to have to hide my Book of Shadows and all my supplies...
I just want to be accepted for who I am, not for who they believe me to be.

So..the question is should I tell them? And if I do, how do I break the news that I'm a witch?

When i was practiceing wicca i had the same problume i thought about telling them because for some reason i thought they would except me but then when i told then about something else i had kept secret they prouved me wrong so i would say they no matter how bad you want to tell you parents it would be a dumb idea if they are christan so you'd be better off not telling them.

Over 18 and living out of their house, tell them they can't stop you.

Under 18 or living in their house, keep quiet

My family has even voiced their hate of witchcraft and I can't see ever coming out to them about it and from what you said I'd advise the same for you. Some people are more accepting including some Christians but most are very severe in their reactions and seeing how homophobic people are where I live I hate to imagine what they'd say if they new i was studying magick as highly religious people would view that worse . I wish you luck and the best.

It's really hard to tell which people you can be open to about witchcraft. To most Christians, witch is a bad thing. They are not knowledgeable enough to even know what you are talking about. I'm afraid to say that you might want to keep it to yourself for now. I won't tell my family, as they think I'm weird enough LOL. But if you are 18 or more, and out of house, then at least you can't be stopped by them. At least you can be open here. Blessed Be...
