Witchcraft- is the actual crafting of spells so every spell is witchcraft. To me magick is the energy behind the spell I craft! Someone else will have to answer any wizard questions, I don't know about "wizards" except that they are on Harry potter. :)

You can be a wizard and practice the craft, Many do it's a lable that pertains and has meaning to it's practitioner, It's a sort of thing that means what works for you works for you. I prefer witch also just as you prefer wizard or whatever lable a practitioner of the occult would prefer. Witch and wizard siply boiled down both mean wise one. And I do have books by one of my favorite wizard authors! (he's awesome!) Look for one of the famous wizard author's books, His name is Oberon Zell Ravenheart.
Hes really good and he gives alot of info for wizards and the way they work with and view the occult. Its all in perspective. He also has a website: WWW.GreySchool.com
So if your interested and learning more about wizards and what they do,practice, and follow then go start one of his many classes on the site.

Thats not really true, Now a days female and male practitioners of witchcraft are considered Witch. Theres no differ in that but if one chooses to be called a wizard, socerer, occultist, etc... Then by all means go for it.
In salem times they just called women that because they saw women as weak and vanarable to Satan's charm so mostly women were targeted with the Witch insult... But yes both men and women are considered witches if they practice witchcraft and so on. The media would have us believe otherwise but those misconceptions are being worked out.

Magick is found all over the world. It is a part of Nature and doesn't have an owner.

Witchcraft is a type of magick and witches are those who practice this particular craft. Witchcraft originated in Europe and is a religion in its own, and Wicca took this religion, altered it a bit, and made it "official" about 50 years ago.

Egyptians, Greeks, Native Americans etc did not practice "witchcraft" nor were they called "witches". So witchcraft is magick, but not all magick is called witchcraft nor practised by "witches".

In fact, in the Cherokee religion, magick was "medicine" and those who practised were medicine people. Witches were considered dangerous and some even considered them untrustworthy, because they (to them) had wild power and could not be detected apart from normal everyday people. When "bad medicine" occurred, it was blamed on a witch! Funny no?
