I'm doing some research on beings said to bring about rot or decay. any info?

seeing that no one replied to this post apparently everyone like my self heard of such beings, the most i can tell you about that is necromancy, i do not practice it but i do know working with the dead can unify you will rot and decay also

It's not always necromancy. A demonic entity or spirit might be invoked to bring about such negative energies conductive to rot and decay.

But, personally, I wouldn't invite that into my life so I'm not going to research to help somebody else bring it into theirs.

lol hence the term research. I dug through my 15thcentury manual of neccromancy and a couple other books but couldnt find anything. I'm not looking for something to try i'm looking for something to learn. thank you though.

In that case I'd point you in the direction of the various Goetic demons, or other such entities that might be summoned. Figured I might as well help you in the search - You'd get there eventually anyway, heh. I remember reading something a demon involved in rot and decay, but I can't remember anything specific.

I think most have a bad idea of what necromancy is. It is not raising the dead. It is simply spirit divination and incorporating death related things into spells. The type of necromancy in the media and games is silly.

I don't have an issue with necromancy. I'm just not a big fan of inviting forces that bring about rot and decay.

it's the 15th century definition of necromancy. it lists control over people objects,etc etc. it was called that, as u stated, because it works with the dead. What list was it you found for goetic demons? I have a couple but I couldnt find anything on rot while searching them.

Alright, now you have me curious. Some time this weekend I'll search my references and let you know.
