Yes, sheilding is very important. you can even layer sheilds too to make them strong, Placing mirror type reflective substances on them so they reflect the negativity back to the sender.
Also strengthening the aura is something that really helps.
You can also do a spiritual cleanisng bath, and cleanse of your home, using a good floor wash with essential ingredients in the water.
you can also, get a black witch shaped candle to burn or a regular black candle, or even a white one, if those types of candles ar not available.( You can tell I have a little tiny bit of hoodoo influence, lol).
Anyway, I have a good recipe for a spiritual cleanse bath and floor wash on my profile, under my history, in the spells I've contributed. But the most important thing I would recommened is sheilding and aura strengthening.

laufia covered most of it, but you can sprinkle dill with salt around the yard to repel hexes etc
one of my personal favorites is incarcerating asafedita tincture in your workings

How could be sure you are a victim of black magic?
And evil magic isnt neccesarily black, but if you could explain further that would help us to understand your circumstance
