Dolls and Spirits

So I'm pretty familiar with spirits, sometimes I can see them. But the problem is I can never really hear them or talk to them I was wondering if anybody knew how I could put a spirit into a doll, not a negative spirit, maybe a family member or a just a positive spirit or something. One that can offer friendship and advice and stuff. I know its pretty bad stuff to mess around with because something could latch onto me or something, but I'm wondering, if anybody really does know how, or does a spirit just not willingly possess a doll? Thanks for any help. I'm quite familiar with spirits and stuff, but I'm not so familiar with this topic

" When you try to bind a spirit, it will immediately know what you're trying to do and it will attack. It won't be like a person because the spirit will get mad at you and then bad things will happen. Spirits are misunderstood creatures, but if they see you as a threat, you better pray to your god.

They thought binding a spirit to a doll would solve all their problems, well it doesn't. It just makes the spirit get mad. The spirit as the same power, the only thing you're doing is containing it. Not allowing it to go somewhere else.

I'm against binding spirits because it doesn't allow them to move on, you're binding their soul to an object and that's not fair. I never binded a spirit and hopefully never will. However, i wont' stop you from doing it, of course. "

Just a short paragraph on how binding a spirit is a terrible idea.

Nothing stated here is fact - they are all opinions and they will differ.

If you're worried that "messing with spirits" will have something bad come of it, then you're probably better off not attempting it until you're more comfortable working with spirits. Adding objects and tools into the mix of spirit work doesn't automatically unlock some "ancient mystical woo woo" magic that makes spirits any different to work with than if you don't include tools. Honestly, it more often than not tends to be a scare tactic used by people who believe that Ouija boards are college horror movie material - there is also a popular horror "game" involving binding a spirit to a doll to play "Hide and Seek" and that is also treated as a scare tactic.

I won't lie, there are dangers that come with any practice - but they are largely mitigated by taking safety precautions, listening to your gut, and keeping your wits about you.

Some will view this practice as "spirit keeping" which alludes to the idea that we have power over spirits and can control them. In a Ceremonial type setting, this can be valid and opinions on it differ in rather extreme ways most of the time. Some will view this as inviting a spirit into a "home" where it can bond with the object and be used as a focus to help contact the spirit - this tends to allude to the view that spirits are more companions to be honored or respected. This is also valid, because these are all opinions and it really all depends on your personal preference.

It's not a default vessel, but sure.

Some spirits do like being inside dolls, and I plan on buying a whole collection of care bears to invoke the Loa.

A doll is just another vessel, after all. Wouldn't be that much different to anchoring(or binding, depending on what you're doing), but idolatry is one of the most significant ways to establish connections with entities.

Basically, when you have the spirit that you want to link to the idol, you're going to want to "link" them- merging the idol and the spirit, so that the idol is technically the spirit's physical body.

You don't need to evoke the spirit from the idol, but you can, it would be a good idea, as the idol is also a manifestation base.

If you want to talk to the spirit, you can do so by merely directing intentions and words at the idol. The idol has become the spirit, much like the ape you are possessing has become you.

Hmm, I understand what your saying. I wouldn't like that to happen because as you say, I feel that its also not fair. But if it was willing to be binded to the doll ?

I forgot to mention, i took that paragraph from a thread i created about what to do if a spirit is haunting you. So, i was talking about binding a spirit that wants to already harm you.

If a spirit is willing, i think you can go for it. But you will need to be careful of course, there are some spirits that are rather tricky.
