Give Yourself a year to truly grasp it
Learn Trump cards first then minors
Save reversals for later on,Get a few different books on Tarot
Jot down your favorite meanings from each in the book then when you feel comfortable, forget all that and go through the cards and see what each card seems to mean to you personally and jot them down
Don't worry about accuracy at frist just learn your deck

Yes because you have 78 cards to master
Double if you plan to learn meanings
I would seperate the Deck
Trumps
Then each suit
So after learning trumps move on to let's say wands
Then swords and so on...
You may find a better way
Just don't overwhelm yourself

I suggest study. You can absolutely practice and study, of course.

Two resources I recommend are a Youtube channel called "Tarot Oracle" (he has lesson videos as well as other great resources) and a web site called learntarot.com, which has a structured curriculum laid out.

Of course there are many other great resources, and differing opinions. I very highly recommend getting information for various sources.

Ha! I was already starting to get overwhelmed just looking at the size of the deck. I think I will follow your advice. The book I have reads more like a reference and didn't give much of a plan for how to begin. Thanks a bunch.

Getting overwhelmed is the key reason many would be readers give up
Go slowly, take your time, and plan to take at least a year to give accurately smooth readings

Try learning a card a day. Take the card aorund with you, get to know the card really well. This will help you memorize the cards and become familiar with your deck.

Also, practice giving readings to people who are willing. I like to practice on myself and on close friends. Since they are practice readings, I have a little more freedom. I can ask my friends about their accuracy and ask for lots of feedback.

The one card a day is a great Idea
I did that for about a week, after reading modern magick
It didn't seem enough for me..I Def suggest you still do as much reading on the topic as possible if you do the one card a day or any other method..Also log it all things sing into our minds better for some reason when we put the pen to paper. You chose a great deck to start with,if u have any questions feel free to message me
