Spell Disposal

There are many ways to dispose of materials after a spell, I was wondering what is one of your ways and why do you do it?

I personally enjoy burying the biodegratable or 'found in nature' items at the local graveyard (off to the side in a flowerbed so as not to disturb the graves) as a way to symbolize my part of the spell is done and the rest is up to whatever else is/gets involved.

I love burning things, so the obvious one for me is by fire. I have, however, in the menatime, found out that there are certain ways of disposal of materials for certain types of spells, for instance, what should be burried on your property and what should be discarded off your property, what should be burned and what should blow away in the wind. I have since tried to refrain from just burning everything.

I sometimes burn it. I sometimes bury it. Sometimes flush it down the toilet. (I'd let it go down a river but I can't go to a river every time... It sounds silly but it works just fine.)

It doesn't really matter that much to me. I know when my part of the spell is done, and where the remaining material is doesn't bother me much. Wherever it is, it makes no change to me.

However I try to dispose it simply so that it doesn't lay around my room to be found by someone.

I'm a bit of a pyromaniac and have a tendency to burn where possible. Sometimes when the spell dictates I will bury. I've also been known to dispose of spell remnants in the centre of a cross roads when it's appropriate.

For my candles, I buy beeswax shabbat candles so I can burn them all the way down into puddles. I burn them out in a container, and then just salt and sage before using it with another candle. I get about a year's worth of use out of each container, and then I bury the whole thing. I keep a separate set just for banishing and binding, and those I bury immediately after using, along with whatever else I use. If I'm working a spell that requires burning paper, I let the wind take it. Otherwise, I'll write my spell on a rock and toss it in a river near my house. Those are my usual methods of spell disposal.

Most of my materials are various forms of metals, so... If I absolutely don't wish to leave them around, I melt them down into jewelry, or other new materials.
