Try the Ouija Board!!
By:
Against my better judgement I have decided to try the ouija board. Alone. What should I watch out for. What Instructions should I fallow. Should I start slowly by asking for my spirit guide or go the whole hog and ask for any demon spirit or anything that is present?

I live in a 100 year old house and I am home alone for tonight

You have heard the warnings, but you're still willing. To do it alone, I actually commend that courage. Before you use the board, I suggest you do a cleansing of the house with sage. After that, do whatever makes you comfortable. I've heard that its best to not worry about the negative presences and just focus on the positive. That may help. It's always good to do a banishing ritual afterwards. By experience, I'm not sure if what you ask matters, I'd still avoid using words like demon and such.

Ah, welcome to the world of Ouija Boards.

I would suggest casting a circle as well as any protective rites you'd wish to do in the very beginning. Bless your board and be very strict with what you will allow to step through and what you won't. I wouldn't suggest speaking to entities you don't know just yet- start out with your Spirit Guide as you suggested. Be safe. Once you are done, make sure you say "Goodbye" to whoever you're speaking with and close your circle correctly. Do a banishing rite just in case at the very end.

Blessed be!

Using a Ouija board is like reading a medical book! If you take notice of it, do you know what happens? It frightens the life out of you!

"Spirit Guides" are usually manifestations of the subconscious. Using any form of divination and seeking answers from external spirits is more or less the same as using a Ouija Board - people just get scared of the board because of the reputation.

People get poor results not because it's dangerous, but because they have no idea what they're doing. If you have any clue what you're asking, who you're asking, and how you're doing it, you're fine.

personally, i can't use a Ouija Board without another person, can't control the planchette so it can't move well. i also say people should avoid Ouija Boards until they have some experience with spirits, protection, cleansing, and the like, but whatever, i'm not your mother.

first things first, be sure you have sage smudge, or sea salt, or some type of cleansing mixture. start by charging and blessing the board. cast a circle, and meditate while holding the board, this will charge it and give you a feel for it. when ready, say a little chant [if you have one] pass it through the incense smoke and sprinkle some form of holy water on it. [solar water, lunar water, or just water and sea salt] do the same thing with the planchette [heart shaped pointer thingie] i tend to leave it on my altar over night, but you don't have to.

when you're ready to use it, sweep the area you're going to cast your circle, visualize white light each time your sweep covering that area of the floor. CAST THE CIRCLE. i can't stress that one enough, most people don't and rarely is that a good idea. sit and meditate for a bit, then start using the board.

your fingers should not be actually touching the planchette, they should be hovering slightly above it, and the fingertips should be very lightly touching it. since i do it with three or more people [two working the planchette one asking questions] my eyes are closed, it helps me concentrate, but do whatever you feel is best.

once the planchette starts moving, be polite and courteous, one of the main reasons people get haunted by a spirit is because they do something stupid and upset them. ask them some questions, but try to avoid the 'how did you die' 'when did you die' stuff, i haven't met many spirits who want to talk about it. when you are ready to leave, or you feel the spirit is, say goodbye. thank it for coming, and wish it a safe journey home. open the circle, and cleanse the room and maybe the board [depends on the entity you contacted if you feel it was 'evil'] with the sage smudge, sprinkle the salt around and vacuum it up [if you own a rug] or mix a cleansing brew [sea salt, rosemary, and lemon juice works] and wash the floor. pack up the board, and have a cleansing bath of sea salt just to be safe.

if you feel it's still around, then do the cleansing to your hold house, but i've found a quick sage of the area and the people works fine.

people tend to view Ouija Boards as evil, they're not, they're a tool, it's how they use it is the problem. sometimes it's all in the persons head, and they can get freaked out by it, other times they don't use it properly and they wind up getting hurt. use common sense, be polite, and everything should work out fine.
