Walk bare-footed into the mud and wiggle your toes around. Lick a wall. If someone has red hair, use something red to represent them. Or perhaps concentrate of something, reach into a pile of junk blindly and pull out an object. Knit a scarf and give it to someone. Then once you've done all that, think about all your experiences of said process :P
Chaos magic is about being personal and unique. It's also about having next to no structured rules. So get weird with it.
Dear Kelistarian, I would suggest you to start with a basic study. What ever path you are going to choose you have to start with a basic stuff as meditation, shielding, centering, grounding, visualization, energy work, learn your body and mind. Include to that your sense and intuition. Then you will know what is a next step you going to take. Good luck
I have been seeing a lot of Chaos forums, and it is good to see other points of view on this topic. But I use a lot of sci-fi in my rituals (I am a really big nerd), science, and the like. The way I understand it, use what works for you and be creative.
The thing about choas magick is that how does magick make sense to you (rhetorical question)? Then once you start to realize some things, then you get creative and start making your own spells. Then you may realize when you get your basics down, chaos magick just doesn't amount to ritual work. It could amount to yiubmaking s simple projection with your third eye. It could amount to the idea that if you astrally project yourself then maybe you can find friends on the astral plane and just ask them to do things for you, depending on those friends.
Chaos magick can be about how an idea makes sense in order for it make change. This can include to social engineering. This can include how metallic magick is basically sending out a bolt of energy on the metaphysical plane. Then you start to getting into stuff on how the astral plane is. Then you start to ask your things like, if metallic magick is really a bolt of energy on the psychic plane then can I do the same with only my third eye? You start to see how things correlate. It really is a culmination of things. An analogy on this would like you going to school, and learning many different subjects, before you can start to really build for your future.
I think Darwish has said it. The basics are where it's at.
It is basically about working without holding yourself back through the confines of religion or path. Working with one diety during a spell or ritual, then another the next time. There is no right or wrong way. Its all about the moment. Never fully connect yourself with your work after its completed. L.L.B~ Angel
