Dreams/Nightmares

Ok so this has been worrying me quite a bit lately as almost every night this month my ex has been in almost every one of my dreams, I mostly consider them nightmares since they seem to consist of us once being happy or us fighting maybe over stupid things, but does this mean anything and is there anything I can do? I mean I have been having this happen since he left, but it`s gotten MUCH worse recently. It could be due to the fact that our anniversary is coming up and we are not legally separated yet, but my sleep continues to get disturbed by this so I would like your opinions on what you think it is or think it means.

Our dreams reflect our subconscious thoughts. This doesn't seem like a spiritual thing. Purely psychological. Obviously somewhere deep inside your mind you haven't gotten over you ex. If there is no hope for reconciliation, I suggest doing some reflection and working through your emotions concerning him.

On a spiritual level, you can do this through meditation as well, by working through the problem using visualization.

There is a theory among spiritualists that every person in our life, past and present creates a mental/emotional link with us. Magickally we can break this link through a seperation/banishment spell. But be warned, once such a spell is done, there is no going back. You have to be 100% sure that you want the person out of your life. It does help though when a strong link has been made (such as ex best friends or ex romances) that is obviously a dead relationship yet continues to haunt us when we are sensitive enough to feel these connections.

A stern reminder to all members to be cautious about those offering help in return for money or a monetary fee. It is not wise to give out personal information to those you meet over the internet. If you are ever offered such assistance please save all emails and alert a moderator about the situation.

Obatala63, I don't mean to be rude but, you keep trying to cast spells for people and it's not always the best idea. The most powerful spell is the one that the person in the actual situation casts themselves.

Well we have a child together that he has right now so banishing him is not the best idea, I will try reflection and meditation too, I appreciate the help and suggestions! We have to at least work together as a parent team, just not a couple.

Whenever there is a child involved it's best to try everything you can to mend any problems within the relationship. A good relationship between parents is extremely important for the child's emotional and mental wellbeing.

Have you tried couple's counseling? Perhaps it may be something to bring up. There was obviously love there and sometimes people do not separate because they lose that love but because they don't know how to be a couple. Many times it's a lack of understanding and miscommunication that causes relationships to fall apart. Othertime one or both has trust issues. All of that can be helped with couple's couseling. At the very least it can help to make whatever you have between you something pleasant that your child can feel secure in.

I have nightmares about my x as well, they were a part of your life for a while, they can easily slip into your dreams. Could be what you said or something else entirely. I feel like your subconscious is asking for some healing and maybe some cleansing. The healing part, you probably have an idea or two.

You can do one of two things from here. 1 put a cleansed/charged amethysts under your pillow to help with any type of nightmare. Or 2, there's a dream cleansing that I haven't tried myself yet: Immediately before bed, place a glass of water by the head your bed. In the morning take it with your non-dominate hand (to symbolize your unwillingness to accept the - energy) and pour it down the toilet, rinse the glass out 3x, each time pouring the rinse water into the toilet. Then flush it, along with all the bad energy.

You could try shielding around the area where you sleep. It always helps me with nightmares. The way the shield works with your dreams varies. I've had some where I've had no nightmares and I've had some where I'm about to have a nightmare and it's just cut out. What I mean is I don't remember anything after a certain part in the dream. Shielding works wonders if you want to try it. Here's how, concentrate, imagine what your shield will look like, what it will do, and how long the shield will stay for. You can make the shield the shape that I do it where it looks like a large square and it reaches the floor, the windosile(if you have a window), or you can do a dome shape, I've done those before. I would try it as a dome first but, if you decide to use a shield, do whatever feels comfortable to you.
