Hello all,
Does anyone know anything about Angelolgy? As I find it hard to not find Christian information on this subject. If you could mail it to me or put it on this forum it would be most helpful.
Thank you all :)

There is a great deal written about angels in many religions. Christianity,Islam, much of Hindu. and many others. If you believe in angels then they exist. If you don't, they don't! It is similar to a belief in the "little people", fairies and such. I have never seen any "little people", but I like to think that they may be there! Just as my witch teacher always did, I too, put out a little dish of food and a small glass of water every night. In the morning the food has gone, and sometimes the water. And, just as my teacher would give a little chuckle and say,"Well, the hedgehogs may have had a good feed!"; I suppose I think the same. But we don't really know, do we?

Try the kabbalalist/qabbalalist belief for the oldest recorded "angels" to my knowledge.

However, do note that the Egyptians also had many hieroglyphics with winged men and gods. Could these be the same beings that are now stereotyped as angels? I think it's quite possible.

Here is an interesting link on some history concerning winged beings

Look up a book by Gustav Davidson called "A Dictionary of Angels including the Fallen ones" It's a very good starter source for angel information.

Also keep in mind that depending on the source you'll find many contradictions in angel lore. People don't really agree and there's no right or wrong source, they're just different.

The book Sarafiel recommended is great. I rented it from the library and now I'm working on rapidly copying down the parts I am personally interested in. Though it seems like everytime I open the book and randomly skim it I learn something new and interesting. Lol.
