Merry midsummers to you as well as all others. My youngest daughter was born right after midsummers so our celebration always includes her birthday. We like to have a bon fire, a feast, and we enjoy playing some games in the yard. We usually have a broom race where contestants ride a broom and jump as they run to encourage the crops to grow taller in the fields. We also place our thoughts that we want to grow and manifest by the end of summer in the bon fire as we dance around to the beat of others drumming. :)

happy summer solstice!~

i normally spend it by going outside as much as i can. i sometimes bring my mini pocket altar and sit down some were near the pond near by to meditate or feed the ducks near by. last year i said a prayer to the sun (i refer to the sun with the Egyptian deity Ra or Aten) and i thank the sun for everything it give to us like food, warmth etc. i plan on doing something similar this year too~

Happy Alban Hefin to you all! For the druids, we all have a Solstice ceremony at Stonehenge. I'm excited about that! The Summer Solstice time was an event of tremendous importance to the proto-Druids of the New Stone Age, who built a number of magnificent megaliths aligned to the sunrise on this day. Today many modern druid orders, including The Order of Bards Ovates & Druids, gather here to watch the first rays of the sun shine above the 'Hele Stone.'

I spent as much time as I could outside. I left an offering to the God,Goddess, and nature spirits. I worked on my garden. I prayed to the God,and I went in the pool.

Merry Midsummer!

Personally, I do a little outdoors ritual for Midsummer. Also, I leave a offering for my goddess.

Also, my town hold a big bonfire in the largest park, and we have celebrations there too. There is a maypole, and some dancing goes on there. We also have singing!

In my apartment I hang Calendula everywhere, too. It smells lovely.
