Are any of these real? Is there any way to use magic as a weight loss aid?

Yes but there more of herd for weight loss and mostly good luck charms for weight loss helps alot! But the sad thing is, is that you at least have to eat right and exercise for them to work.

Wouldn't it be possible to use magic to kill your appetite though? Or help resist urges for sweets?

Meditation can help; it is the main basic for magic. It can give you the confidence to eat less. In only a few days your stomach will shrink, so your appetite will lessen. But a varied diet and exercise are essential. When you feel the "craving" for sweet things, eat an apple; a raw carrot; a stick of celery; any type of fruit!

Yeah I agree, a spell won't make you drop fat off your body with no effort but spells for success and motivation can be very helpful with the push to begin/keep going. Just be aware that you're never going to lose weight permanently or healthily if you're trying stopgap solutions, you gotta eat less and exercise more. Even a little tiny bit of both every day will teach your body you don't need the fat you have on you. It generally drops off the better your attitude as well. If you're like "oh boy, it's time for my ten minute walk!" that walk will do you a load more good than if you're dragging your feet about it. Put a spring in your step! :D (and yes I know this stuff from experience :P)
