Indigo child? Now that's something new. But it seems to me since the posts above are stating the same thing, it is a bunch of fake belief. To me, I wouldn't worry about this.

Another thing is that indigo children are called that because they have indigo coloured auras. There are also crystal and rainbow children.

Since there is a high amount of fluff around at the moment, most people will automatically assume that this subject is fluff. However, I would like to change this opinion.. They are said to be souls who have been sent to this world to help humanity in upcoming events and almost "restore" mankind. The Indigo children are part of a group which has been labeled as "the star children" and this group includes rainbow crystal and indigo, but in my opinion there all the same, and the names are just labels. The indigo are said to be the wisest of the two, or the oldest souls. And may I just say Indigo children are not as rare as you may think, many children my age or older/younger are one. It's the rainbow that are rarest as they are still being born. Some people may also say this idea of star children came from a book published a while back, but historians found Native American prophesies that said one day the "rainbow warriors" will help the earth and humans, and this belief was carried on into books ect. And to answer your question weather you are one, you can't just rely on a test tell you. I always had a feeling I was one before I even knew what Indigo children where, and even what magic was. I still have memories from when I was like 4 years old. You have to truely feel it. Now to everyone else who is reading this please don't assume I'm making this up and I've joined the side of the fluff, because fluff annoys me and I get enough of it in my mail box so I wouldn't just post this if I knew there wasn't some truth to this. I hope you have a lovely day :)

It started out in the 1970's after a book was published on the idea. The author believed that more and more children were being born with an indigo aura and that these children would change our world for the better. Indigo is believed to be a sign of a high spiritual connection when found in the aura, hence the idea these kids were special. The concept of indigo children caught on quickly and during the 80's a lot of people claimed their kids were such. It was actually used as an excuse for ADHD, rebellious behavior and other things considered negative..."She her lack of listening to authority figures is because she is so independent...its from her being an indigo child". I kid you not, this stuff was done. Of course, others say that indigo children actually have unique talents and gifts that make them stand out. They are natural artists, musicians and etc and I'm talking beyond the normal talented folks....you know the kind you see a tv special on or in a facebook posting about how amazing they are.

However, here is my opinion on the matter. Most children have an innocence to them. This is why they are often said to be closer to god (or spirit, deity, etc) than others. Heck, the bible even says one should become like children in order to reach heaven. If you believe in this concept and you don't have to be christian for that, it would make sense they would have an indigo aura...its the color associated with spirit. Those I know who can read aura colors will say that a baby starts out with an indigo/blue colored aura that will adjust over time. I've seen this too with the children I have watched grow up. Therefore, it isn't that the indigo aura thing is new....it just wasn't paid attention to. Maybe those who grow up and still have an indigo aura are special but that is a different deal. However, I've seen auras change over time. Being born with a certain color aura doesn't make anyone more special than anyone else.

I'm really stuck on what to say here. I have certain abilities, and I look at things and the world from different point of view than "normal", whatever that is. lol I question why I feel so much, why I know things, why I can do things. I got told I'm an Indigo, or star child, come to help the world. I can only do my little corner of it, but I've helped many in many ways. Does that make me special? I doubt it. I just know that I love the feeling of helping, especially when I hear a thank you, or that it worked, or see for myself the results. I don't feel required to be thanked, as it comes in the feeling of I'm glad to have helped. Does that make me Inido? Star child? We all are made of the star dust, so what is the answer here? It's a label, simple. We feel the need to label everything, as a form of knowing what's in it, or what it's about. You decide...
