The Autumn Equinox/Mabon!

Hello all!
I noticed that the Autumn Equinox/Mabon is coming up,and was wondering how everyone else is gonna spend that day.I'm going to celebrate it tomorrow,as its the only day I have time to.My old Book of Shadows (I personally call it otherwise, but its the same thing) fell apart,so I will be blessing my new one and begin writing in it.I will also be holding a dedication ritual to Rhiannon.
So,are you doing anything special for The Equninox/Mabon? :^)

I am probably going to start making my first, real wand (I changed my original date, hearing the Equinox is tomorrow); one of my tarot decks from scratch; training my psychic abilities; and, like you, I am going to reconstruct my Book of Shadows. I am also going to cast a couple spells to help me throughout the upcoming week :)

The name Mabon seems to be quite recent.I have been a witch for a long time, but during most of my life the equinox was always known as Harvest Time, at least it was up here in Yorkshire. In the south of England it was called the cider time. So far as I know it was the time when last year's cider was "finished off", and the new cider bottled. In Yorkshire, farmers wives would bake "the first bread of the new harvest". Many women still do! They still bake a small loaf to celebrate the harvest. They take these small loaves to the church. And our local church has a Harvest Festival, and people of the village donate plants that are sold for the church funds.
So, I would say to celebrate Mabon, as it is now called, bake a small loaf, and dedicate it to your chosen Deity. That would be a pretty good way to celebrate.

I have a day off of school that day due to teacher conferences. It's amazing for me, so I'm going to wake up at 8 and do my regular stuff then go out and take a walk, do ritual, and just be thankful and reflect for the day, After all that's what mabon is about, anyways have a happy kab on on Monday guys!
