Mugwort is a very feminine herb. It is also known as the St. John's plant, or it's botanical name, Artemisia Vulgaris. The mugwort plant has deeply indented leaves, and may have clusters of small yellow or reddish flowers. The parts used are generally the roots and leaves. Mugwort contains a volatile oil, a sesquiterpene lactone, flavonoids, coumarin derivatives, and triterpenes.
Mugwort's traditional uses are for digestive issues, and also as a tonic for various remedies. It can also be used for improving appetite, digestive functions, and the absorption of nutrients in small doses. It can eliminate worms within the body, and induce menstruation if it is delayed. Mugwort can also be used as a uterine stimulant, or as an antiseptic. You can use this herb in a tincture, or an infusion.

Mugwort is ,pretty much used ,in same way in Northern Shamanism as White Sage (Salvia Apiana ) in Native American Shamanism .
In Chinese Medicine, it is dried in bundles and is used to smudge away and deal with any sorts of blocks along the energy meridians .Such bundles are called moxa sticks .The methods is called Moxibustion and it is used often with acupuncture .It is used mainly to treat a deficiency of "yang " energy in the body .
It induces lucid dreams and can aid astral projection ,especially if you have made connection with its spirit and it is your plant ally .
Artemisia is my favorite genus of plants I always have felt connected with it in many ways.

On health and safety note .
Mugwort should not be taken internally during pregnancy or when breast-feeding .Do not take for long periods of time without professional advice ,when ingested .
