Ok. I want to know something.
Just because you practice Wicca (Witchcraft) does not make you a "devil worshiper", right?

No, practicing Witchcraft or Wicca does not make you a 'devil worshipper'.

Oh no! not at all! Just because you practice witchcraft does not mean you worship the devil, you can actually worship whom ever you want when practicing witchcraft.

No,though one thing that should be pointed out is that just because you practice magick,doesn't make you a wiccan,but that still doesn't make you a devil worshipper.

Practicing witchcraft doesn't make you a devil worshiper. In order to worship the devil, you must first believe in him. Furthermore the devil is a Christian figure not a witchcraft one. Whoever called you a devil worshiper is either uneducated or just plain ignorant.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!
A Quick run of and Wicca AND Witchcraft (because they ARE two different things)

Wicca..............
+ It's a religion
+ Wiccan's are trying to achieve balance.
+ Wiccan's are about being one with the world they live in
+ Wiccan's celebrate all the elements
+ And in the Wiccan's laws and rules it even states that they do not worship the devil or "Satan" or even believe in his existence
_______________________________________________________________
Witchcraft..........
+ it's a day to day belief, not a religion.
+ Witch's are trying to master their craft. (spell crafting for example)
+ there are no laws or rules, only the ones you set on yourself.

________________________________________________________________
Now if your a satanist, that's a different story.....

it dose not make you a devil worshiper.

It absolutely doesn't make you a 'devil worshiper' and also I believe that this term is incredibly disrespectful and ignorant.

However there will always be ignorant and disrespectful people who will call you names, unfortunately.

On a very similar note, there's also When Someone You Love Is Wiccan by Carl McColman, and it's online over here;
http://www.scribd.com/doc/100213971/28112104-When-Someone-You-Love-is-Wiccan

There's also the much shorter, but still extremely relevant, Wicca 101/FAQ by Catherine Noble Beyer;
http://wicca.cnbeyer.com/wicca101/index.shtml

I'm not Wiccan or Neo pagan (while I respect my fellow Neo pagans), but I have been in the past and the people around me did know about it.Someone who I used to know very well is pretty anti-theist, but she was curious about it and allowed it. Many people that I got to meet through out the years were fairly concerned it would lead to Satanism or what they probably defined as "Devil Worship", but they also allowed / accepted my faith. They apparently understood three very basic, but apparently little known principles, they're friends afterall.

1 - Belief is not something particularly controllable without living in literal isolation, and even then it is not absolute. You could be coerced or pressured into changing your beliefs, but others cannot physically restrict or change it as if it were some bad behavior.

2 - Belief is not rational, and therefore does not need to be based upon knowledge. Knowing or not knowing about a thing does not necessarily influence your belief in it, provided that you know enough that there is something to believe. In other words, you need only the briefest and vague acquaintance with Wicca to be able to believe it is true.

3 - Ignorance serves only to restrict. Honestly, what is aided or expanded by ignorance? If I were banned from learning about Wicca I would have been less prepared for the world around me (which, you know, includes Wiccans), I would have been less empathic and understanding toward an entire demographic of people, I wouldn't have understood other religions like Christianity as well by having compared and contrasted it with yet another view, and I would have fewer ways to understand my own faith and explain it to others. Ignorance is a horrible thing - we spend the first 20 years of our lives doing little but trying to get rid of it, after all, doesn't it seem counter-intuitive to then turn around to encourage and enforce it?

As I said, unfortunately some people really think that way. however you're free to do your stuff and be proud of who you are since there's nothing wrong with that!

I'm sorry for the double post but I'd like to point something out since I find it fairly important for making things clear : Wicca (a religion) and witchcraft (a spiritual life-style and a practice) aren't the same things describing the same phenomenon at all.

But

Eh it sounds like people mistake and mix the terms 'wicca' and 'witchcraft' together. I'll try to explain it as well as I can...

A witch is anyone who casts spells. Even Satanists and Christians could be considered witches if they cast spells and do magic, but they aren't Wiccan because they follow a different religion than Wiccans. A Wiccan is someone who follows the religion of Wicca, which is an officially recognized religion just like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism. If you get nothing else from this, remember that "Wicca" is the name of the religion and "Wiccans" are the followers of Wicca. So you wouldn't say, "I have a friend who is Wicca." Instead, you would say that your friend is Wiccan.

According to the Wiccan Rede, which are the rules that Wiccans abide by, Wiccans are not supposed cast harmful spells. The Wiccan Rede says, "And ye harm none, do what ye will." Someone who claims to be a "witch" but who is not "Wiccan" is not following the religion of Wicca. Therefore, they do not have to follow the rede. So they can throw curses at you from across the room. If you think you want to be Wiccan, or you want to know the difference in Wicca and witchcraft, here are some useful pages to read that explain the difference:
