Wrecking talismans

The way I learned to do a circle was to fist imagine a psychic broom sweeping away all inappropriate energies in your work space and then perform the ritual to create a circle.

Can that kind of cleansing ruin an enchanted talisman, especially if done improperly?

I would really hate it if it was so easy to destroy my hard work by accident

I have never heard of a circle casting getting rid of a talisman's enchantment. At gnostic mass our congregation is typically seated in in the temple during banishing... You'd think that if it would destroy our talismans they'd warn us not to wear them in.

no only your worrying and thinking bad about that will sabotage your own working, just chill out and if you think that this might happened put a small bubble around the talisman before your broom shield casting... remember we are the only one that cast our spells ,can sabotage them before they start manifesting by fear, just know everything will work out fine...
