The Flower and Its Fruit
By:
In my garden, I have a Purple Passion Flower Plant, and as of right now, even though it still is blooming, it is already producing fruit. And is it possible that the flower can be used as an herb, and can the fruit possibly be edible?

If anyone know's, I'd be greatly thankful for your response. It is fine if you don't know anything about it, and I thank you for reading this thread.

Blessed Be.

I'm 85% sure that the fruit can be eaten, I don't know about the flowers though.

If this is what you have, it's quite useful.

Great link find, Stone. :)

I have a Passion Flower plant also. I eat the fruits, and it has never done me any harm; and they are actually quite tasty. Of course, it is classed as a narcotic, so be careful! I suggest you do a little research to find out what you can.

Personally, when making Passion Flower tea I like to blend it with Chamomile- the flavors mix very nicely together, especially if you have a certain taste.

Its also advised not to give Passion Flower to pregnant women.

As I said, great link! It provides you with great info including how to grow the plant as you probably saw, and is going into my favorites. Thanks for that Stone :D
