Buddhism

Hello :). I was looking to start my journey into Buddhism, but I'm not sure what to do first. Should I read about Buddha, or the four truths? How should I begin to incorporate it into my daily life? Sorry if I sound like a noob, but I am learning :)

Blessings,

~Lura~

You might hit up Zrosach of Council of Knowledge. She happens to be a Nichiren Buddhist. (I'm hoping I remembered that right and spelled it right.)

Just chant 'Namyo ho renge kyo' search on website on how to offer morning and evening prayers.. youtube will help you in giving correct pronunciations.. this is the lotus sutra and the core of nichiren buddism..

Read some books on the history and founding principles first. In order to really understand Buddhism you must learn the history.

And if you have any questions on Buddhism message me hopes this helps.

I would suggest looking for a temple in your area and asking them if they offer teaching. Most do. I would not suggest learning how to be a Buddhist from the internet. Also, it's important to note that there are many sects of Buddhism, and which one you desire to pursue matters. They are very different from one another.

Ah, Buddhism. Such a wonderful path.

I would simply suggest learning about the lifetime and history of the Buddha, even taking up meditation and Buddhist philosophy, once you get comfy with it!
