Should i tell them?

Hey all! I live in a christian family and i guess im the only one doing magic (or you can say wiccan) i practise white magic but sometimes get caught on one or two dark magics. Also my dad says that magic is counted as witchcraft and it counts as a ticket to he**. How should i tell them? They will freak the heck out if i told them i was practicing magic. (My dad is already suspicious about me talking about spells) should i tell them or just keep it a secret?

well I looked at your profile and say that you've only been practicing for a month. I would suggest practicing for 6 months to a year and if its right for you then tell them and do just practice doing spells and rituals look up the actual region and beliefs and find out if you actually believe them. may stop learning because they though they were braking away from structure only to find out Wicca has structure its not just a free for all like some make it out
(sorry if that sounds mean its suppose to be kind but text can lose the voice tone)

My family is very similar in their beliefs though I'm still a Christian studying magick in any shape or form wouldn't be accepted. I hinted a bit to one family member by admitting I was a member of a site like this talking to people that practiced magick but implied I didn't. They didn't seem overly bothered but this but the rest of my family is less accepting. An example is I'm not sure how but years ago meditation came into a conversation, before I even became interested in such things, and they said it opened your mind to evil. So, I'm not evenly openly meditating and my advice is dont tell them. It would cause more harm than good from what you've said.

Don't tell them. I come from an overly religious family, who condemned me for just being gothic and still do. The worst was when they caught me meditating and it ended in a three hour trying to banish the demons gathering. Please be careful who you tell and when you are casting spells or studying about them.

I've seen many people posting similar topics scared to tell their families and asking for advice on how or should they. Sometimes the best advice might be to tell them especially it your unsure of their reaction as there is a possibility they will accept this side of you, but you have a good idea of what they're reaction will probably be. My best advice is to air on the side of caution and not tell them. I can understand your desire to be honest with them, but if it's likely to result in grief for both parties so I just can't see the point in telling them. In the end follow your own mind & heart to the decision you think is best.

Well, it sounds like your dad already knows. I think he may be patient, but if your father is a firm believer he may discipline you by the ''rod" to save you from the depths of He$$. I purposely put in the $ sign, as it is the sign to punish or scorn through chaos and punishment. Certainly, the 'saved' makes the world scared. I smell the spirit of rebellion, already. The spirit of rebellion is witchcraft. Six for the perfection of the self, and seven for the enlightenment by divinity. You think it gets bad when you do one or two black-magick spells. Well, let me tell you, it only gets worse as you grow older.

Well you're a heathen (by heart), in a seemingly Christian/Gentile house hold, and that is adding some leaven to the whole dough. A little bit of leaven leavens the whole bread, and it percolates with everyone else's spirituality. By what you said that your father has mentioned, and this is what I think it comes down to. . . he, your father, is responsible for what goes on in his house hold, because the man is generally considered headship, in this case. After all, it is implied that the man is the stronger vessel. From a Christian's doctrine, there is both a judgement for the lost and the saved. I think what it's going to come down to is that your father, your dad, will eventually make a choice. By what your father believes, he will basically say that you're bondage, and he may pray about the hold that the devil has on you, ministering here and there.

The choice, if he isn't a sleepy Christian, would be that he would destroy all your occult implements, but I think he is patient with you. He is your father, so he will show his love for you with long-suffering, but if he truly loves you, he will eventually discipline you. Meaning, I think he will set the 'record' straight.

I think it would be best just to let what you want to say, out. Does fear set in and does your heart pound, when any sense of your identity with the craft is at stake? If that is true, I think it means that you are afraid, because it's like, "I am afraid that they will persecute me, judge me and leave me out to dry." And you know what? It goes on. Well, I think you love what you do, but it's the devil holding you back. The "devil." Lol! Shame holds us back, and I think you got to be able to river dance about anything that you have passion for. I wouldn't suppress myself. I would take this on with an iron fist, and if my words aren't personified enough, I don't know what is. You can tell I take pathological-narsacistic-bureaucratic liars real well. Ring the church bell on this one, with one big Abraham Lincoln. Is it always best to tell the truth?

Ironically, then if the spirit of rebellion is witchcraft; look where you're at. Something is going to have to give. Fruition is coming. Call it a paradigm shift. It's your choice.

. . . Pray about it, "with a big smirking smile," that I conveyed towards my screen.

Your heart. . . Does the spirit control!?
