Candles?

Do you need candles for spells? Even for spells that say you need candles? I'm sorry if I'm asking so much. I'm just a bit confused. I can't get any candles and most spells says I need them. No smart remarks, just advice please. Thank you.

No candles are not needed. No spell requires materials (except ones that revolve around that material) but materials are helpful and usually make a spell more successful.

Candles are not needed. They are usually just to help the practitioner focus on the intention of the spell. What really matters is the intention and energies you are putting into the spell. You could use a colored object for the color of the candle and focus on that in place of a candle.
