A matter of beleif

I have an idea I'd like to run by you.
Magick is a matter of belief. If u believe, Magick works, but u have to believe it as firmly as u believe when u get up in the morning and swing your feet onto the floor, that the floors going to be there.
Could this be why transformation spells and such don't work and glamor spell are only temporary?
For example:
We each have a body memory that says we have a certain eye color. We've lived with that fact for years, all our lives. Our minds know this, but so do our bodies. In fact this body memory is built into our genes.
So you do a spell that turns your brown eyes blue. It works but after a few hours, the body memory reasserts itsself and says, No, darn it, my eyes are brown! and so once again you have brown eyes.
What do you think

Well said Salamander,
Hmm...if its got to do with "body memory" then that means that we have to somehow make our body memory believe that we have blue eyes? Then our eyes will be blue for a longer period of time? Is this true?

that's what I'm thinking, the body memory being a part of our genetic struture would be a stronger force than our minds.
Also, if it were easy to do, all of us Magick workers would be tall, georgeous creatures and the Cowans would all envy us and turn on us, destroying us all or convert and also become tall, georgeous creatures thereby changing everyones choices and thus their destinies! lol.
I said that last as a joke but....I wonder, could it be true?.....hmmmmm.
