I shall begin,

In 1691 the parris family mysteriously fell ill and started having strange seizures they went to the doctors and the doctors could find out the reason for these strange occurrences and could figure out a way to treat them and the ill advised doctors then assumed that the ill daughters must be bewitched and then they accused the first witch named tibuta, a slave that worked for the family accused that she had placed a curse on them and then therefore after the stories spread and accusations floored

The events in salem led to 200+ people in and out of salem being accused of witchcraft for many events that they thought were wicked and evil, and many of those that were accused were hung at dusk.

Well it seems to me that the Name of the first to be accused of being a witch the slave's name is misspelled and I think it is spelled Titchuba; however I moved and I can not locate my American History of Witch craft book and just going on memory alone. I can't verify it.

I read that it could have been lead in the pewter utensils they ate with and in their cups causing psychotic delusions possibly
But that was in a book I read when I was in school

That could be one cause besides talk of witches from the 1500s and people believing in similar types of witch accusations be a good tool to get their neighbours jailed, hug, or burned at the stake

What I know about Salem is that in a past lifetime I used to live in those times and-although all of my family was into Witchcraft, the woman I used to love, was burned, in fire. Also, I liked the articles you have shared with us, keep us informed. :)
