Asatru is generally taken to mean "True to the Aseir" the branch of Norse Gods and Goddesses which contains Odin, Thor, Frigg, and many others. From what I remember Ageir and Ran do fall into this category as do Freyr, Njord, and Freyja.

As stated above. They tend to be included with the Aesir in many practices, though their tendencies towards being elemental makes them feel closer to the Vanir or some other primal Jotnar in my opinion.

Also, Asatru as a branch (I've found) largely varies from individual to individual. That is to say, there isn't a right or wrong way about it necessarily. If you focus mainly on the Aesir, and want to also focus specifically on Aegir and Ran, it should be fine.
