Study the basics of all magic first before you go about casting spells and trying to commune with the dead.

I recomend you read some older books about.
And be very careful. By Claviculae Salomonis for example is necromancy more dangerous then demonology.

nacromancy is a dark and dangerous path, mainly because the dead tend to get angry if you keep bugging them, you can find info online quite easy, but my advice is to dread carefully

Learn the basics first, as others have said, but then learn various forms of scrying, channeling, and divination. Even simple pendeling is technically necromancy

i dont know what you expect out of "necromancy" but raising the dead and making zombies and stuff just isnt gonna happen.

Learn to do the basics...theres like a bunch of articles and stuff and you can do a forum search...no big deal.

then figure out your path and start bringing effective change into your life.

Anyways, good luck

I don't want to make zombies but is it possible to raise the dead depending on what level of experience you have even if resurrecting something small?
