Blessed Be to All

Hello, I am Holly,I am just starting my Wicca path and have a strong love of nature. I was partially raised in a Pagan home as my dad was a practising witch until I was about 8 or 9yrs of age. Although I continued within the Christian church until the age of 17 ( I am 19 now) I didn't feel comfortable anymore with the church. I discovered Greek Reconstruction and decided to try my hand at this path, but for me it only led to a dead end. I have researched into other Pagan paths and although hesitant ( I found Wicca to be too new due to it's starting in 1952) I decided to research Wicca. What I discovered is that it is simply the old religion brought into the modern world as with most neo-paganism. This being said for the past 2 days ( Yes I really am THAT new!) It has hit me in ways I have never felt before, I had cleansed all my dad's former tools with the goddess candle, and after wards all I felt was pure happiness in an energy I have never felt before in my life. I will admit, although I have cast a circle of protection around me for personal tarot readings I have not done any witchcraft as of yet, but it does interest me immensely. Anyway, I would thoroughly appreciate any messages helping me in any way you feel possible, I also love to discuss Wicca and/or witchcraft.

Hi Holly,

Welcome to SOM. And welcome to the Wiccan family as well. I've been a practicing Wiccan and a High Priestess for some 30 years. If there is anything I can do to help you out just let me know. I don't teach on-line, but I will be glad to answer specific questions or to point you at good resources to learn from.

Merry Meet and welcome. Although my beliefs are a little different, I am mostly Wiccan and Native American Shaman (looking up my ancestors as I am part Abenaki and have had shamanic experiences). Feel free to mail me.(go to my page, and tab mail, in case you didn't know). May you find what you seek.Blessed Be...

Greetings, I have also found it difficult to define a path as I always found fundament things I disagreed with in every religion. Magick can just be a means to an end but for me there's also a spiritual path to follow. Might I be so bold as to suggest eclectic paganism if you're looking for something a little more flexible.
