I am trying to start using meditation so i can start casting the real spells, how do you know when meditation worked? I would also like some links from SoM (please no other sites) for how to work on the basics, thank you!

I am quite unsure of what your post means when you state "How do you know when your meditation worked" . This is a question that you yourself should be able to answer

There are many types of meditation , with different focuses , different intents and the state of mind varies.

Simply Speaking , Your meditation "worked" when you fufill your intention and objective of the meditation.

I have no links to offer you , partly because I am on mobile at the moment and also because that there is quite a fair bit of information concerning meditation that it would be rather impractical for me to find sites to list them. Furthermore , what I have learned from meditation are largely based on books , talks and lessons by various monks and henceforth.

I suggest it would be best for you to look for sources of information elsewhere.

Meditation is a fairly large topic and many believe by doing a few common technique practices , they have mastered it , though there is so much more. Though that is usually sufficient for spellcasting

Good Luck.

The articles tab on this site has a lot of information. Spend a day there and you will find what you seek. Keep in mind no one method is universal, you will likely have to develop your own method from these examples.
