Okay, so I have been a Wicca for a while. And I want to tell my mom but I'm scared. She Isnt catholic or christian but I'm scared she will flip out? Or should I just drop hints so she will find out? Like just recently I bought a pentagram at the beach and I've been wearing it since. I'm hopeing she will look up the meaning and find out, but stil, what sould I do?!?!?! HELP!!!!

Also, how should I tell her? Should I just say "
Mom, I'm a witch, I hope you accept it, because this is me." But she is an open minded person to, she all ways says " accept people for who they are, wether their gay, bi, white, black or purple ( I dont know )"

why don't you tell her that you're Wicca and leave the witch part out :)

I would not suggest just blurting out that you are a witch.

What I did was celebrating a Wiccan holiday (Maybon). I cooked all of the food for the day and explained the origins of the holiday. At the end of the night I served dessert and then slowly told them how I was someone who practiced these holidays and in result was a witch.

Tips:

  • Don't tell anyone you are absolutely comfortable with. Telling my family I'll admit was a mistake. They are still holding it over me since I told them 3 years ago. If I had taken my time deciding who I knew could handle this information and not of just been trying to "get it over with" then I probably wouldn't be in the situation I am in today.
  • Don't go fast, take it slow
  • Try to show them what being a true Wiccan is before they know that you are one. It will show them not to trust the stereotype and will give them hints so when you tell her it will be less of a blow.

I hoped this helped.

Do you think your mom would really stop loving you? Educate her first on the religion so she won't be confused. If you want to do it, then go for it.

Luck and Blessings!
