Hoodoo

Okay lately I've been interested in Hoodoo and the book I'm currently reading is "Voodoo & Hoodoo" by Jim Haskins. The book doesn't has as much information as I like it to be for half of the book have some information and the other half is how some practitioners do their charms as in "laying tricks" to protecting yourself, to the matter of court and to the matter of love.
So in short, is there any books you will reccommend to anyone who want to know more about hoodoo, the origin, etc.

not realy im afraid, thats one think about voodoo, and its older cousin hoodoo. The people who use it guard it closely. I personaly dont think its that voodoo "works" more than any other magic, i think its the way voodoo makes you feel. its so athentic ya know? and u feel like its guna work if its an old, well used practice, wich in a sense, probly does intensify it. Mu advice to ya is read the recently posted thread "why some spells dont work"...by me.. its only my opinion, but good stuff i think. As for the voodoo hoohoo houdowy stuff though, i would say if ur realy hardcore, and realy want to, take a field trip type thing to luisiana, or learn an african, trinidad, or jamacian lanuage, and go ask them directly. They still probly wont tell ya much. Thats the only way people can get 200+$ out of people for it. its almost like a partialy valide guimic, plus ask anyone whose effectivly used voodoo, might work once, but then the effect fades, and u gota get all that good u brought urself, balanced out with bad. theres a reason that odd feeling, almost a dark feeling, comes with voodoo, wich i am certain u feel. do at ur own risk bud. best of luck to ya..

my point being, stick to white, respect free will, and if u want to change urself, whats that tell u about how u think of urself. Just the fact that ud believe in hoodoo says ur an amazing person, u dont need to change a thing about u, and what u need, u will get, but not if u go doin grey type magic, fin up the flow so to speak. ive truely been were u are. the secret to happiness;realizeing u already have everything that makes u happy, ur family, and hope that ur realationship with them may be eternal.

I live in Louisiana and not many people ACTUALLY know alot about it .___. only if voodoo runs in your family. I suggest viewing youtube videos about them. there are actually pretty decent ones.

i know the forums are open, and free, even to the wanabe vamps and the like... but heres some advice, dont go comanding things of life, in the names of things u do not know. u know inside there is a calling, saying are u a freakin fool? the strongest of the strong need no help, they realize they came with the means. hoodoo is dark in its nature. havent u heard of haunting were voodoo and hoodoo were practiced? they bring about darkness, via the darkness. when u exert energy, where does it realy go? around u...sometimes it follows u. before u wonder what ur getting out of it, please try to understand what u may leave behind, or, take with u.. whats the use of courage if u put it in the wrong place? my advice ina difrent format; if u have the courage to try hoodoo, why not find the courage to take ur life as is? it cannot be that bad..ur nor a starveing child in africa..were hoodoo started..

Oh i forgot one book that I have that was very useful, not on the subject itself but it mentions a fair amount of the Loa in it and has been quite useful.
