what does a blood moon mean?

the reason y im asking is because i think last month there was a blood moon and i have no idea what it would mean and everything but isnt it lke some kind of a rare evernt of something idk????

The blood moon or hunters moon happens every year. It is the first full moon after the harvest moon which is the full moon closest to the fall equinox.
