Grimoire Question
By:

Can someone make their own grimoire like the people did in the old days.I am talking about like making your own sigils, systems, talismans, and such to conjure up something in a ceremonial fashion. I want to do it in a Christianfashion and possibly something close to the lesser key of Solomon.

Ancient grimoires weren't made in the way you imply they were.
Those who wrote them, important witches and very wise people, just wrote knowledge which had passed from person to person in a non-written way.
In other words, they only wrote knowledge which was already known by previous important witches.

As to if you can make your own grimoires, yes, you can. However, they will only rely on your faith in them, so the new, invented grimoires will not be as strong as the old ones are.

Absolutely. Anyone can make one, and plenty do so these days.

I have to disagree with the previous post. Knowledge is knowledge, wisdom is wisdom. It does not matter how old or how young it is, nor does it matter whose belief it is. Older knowledge, wisdom, magic etc. does not explicitly make it stronger or more pwerful.

And to asnwer the question of Draco, you can make your grimoire however you wish.

I agree with Bazir.
Sobre, the old grimoires might not be relevant or important to everyone and the path they are on.
What works for one, might not for another.
So, it is better to go with whatever effectively works for you, and if this is what Draco wishes to do, who are you to say otherwise?

Yes of course you can make your own! I find it to be a very happy and exciting process! You can make a virtual one with OneNote compiling your writing pieces, links to things you want in it and so on. You can use a binder or notebook in real life as well. I personally go with a blend of both. I like to print out pages on things I like, highlight the parts I want to revisit, use a hole puncher and add it to my binder. I prefer a three ring binder to a notebook as I can move things around as I like them. I like keeping lined paper in between sections for notes on things added and how they worked for me in my personal experience. I use construction paper and drawings that are memorable added as well as other photos such as of flowers. Having pictures of flowers or herbs along by an informational section about them is nice. I like to have pressed flowers in the front by the hymn/prayer section for the book blessing. Heck, a lot of people even name their book to my understanding!

A Grimoire is a Book of Shadows, yes, you should make your own. Record all your spells and practices, your experiences, your path.
Make it your own, not copy someone elses.
What do you mean do it in a Christian fashion? That would be the Bible and it does not like witches.

I believe that you can make your own Grimoire, Sigils, etc. When you put your own energy into things like this it gives it a more personal energy. What you put into your Grimoire can be almost anything that's with your spiritual path that you feel you need to have written down.

yes, you should make you own Grimoire. You see the Grimoire or as Oroboros said A book of shadows is something every occultist, witch, or magic workers write at sometime in there life. It may contain your spells and rituals, or spells and rituals others have created, or a bit of both. The choice is yours.

you can make one how ever you want and you should make one to store what ever knowledge of sigils and talismans you have in it and ideas for your ceremonies for conjuring so its a prety good idea
