Kundalini

I have decided to work on my Kundalini, in order to be a person with higher spirituality and wisdom, and at the same time open my chakras and balance them.

I know I shouldn't work on it alone, and I need a mentor, but I don't have time for these stories; I need to work on it alone-a good reason is because it's just impossible for me to get a mentor... But of course if someone offers to help me be my mentor in Kundalini-at least from this site, I am willing to take their help.

So do you have any techniques for Kundalini awakening? A lot of people will tell by "meditation", but what techniques should I do when I meditate on this?
How will I understand it's working?

Any further experiences with Kundalini are also welcome. :)

I recommend you read Gopi Krishna's biographical experience of awakening kundalini.

Irving's "Serpent Power" is a good rendition of it with additional commentary.
