So about Samhain?

I would like to be educated on what Samhain can be, and isn't..?

I also have a insane story to tell.. About two years ago I met this friend that offered a Samhain ritual it was a weird one to, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere all I can explain is how I felt..

After chanting this ritual I felt numb no it wasn't a satanic ritual, but more the spirit of samhain anyways i brushed it off as a sign that this test as my friend put it for me was working, so I went downstairs to my room and started listening to native american music, and relaxing and all but than the most incredible feeling started up it was a warm tingling feeling that started at my toes and swept up my body losing feeling of each body part as it swept up my body.. now About 12:59am was the last time I remember then I blacked out, and had two intense dreams that are hard to explain they were like time/universe bending kind of dreams, and that's the best I can explain it.. I guess what I am asking is what kind of magick can do that it was intense, and I want to find such again can anyone help me?
