I guess that's impossible, given every person, theology, and path categorizes magic differently.

Some do it by theme, some attribute colors (like white and black), others specifically on what is being done.

There are literally hundreds of different forms of magic. There's traditions, paths, pantheons, and cultures that are weaved into magic in such a way that hundreds of practices have been generated.

It's impossible to tell how many practices there are and what they are, however there are various "types" such as spirituality, traditional, eclectic, solitary and so on.

Lets Put ot like this Magick is Magick with no type, its a change, and to me, the technique used and result of that technique define its type, if it heals its healing magick, if it harms its black magick or curse, if you use voodoo to heal, its voodoo healing magick etc, If you use dragons perhaps its draconian magick, if angeks then amgelic magick .. list can be endless in this.. But at last Magick is magick, wherever, However or for whatever it's used, defines it.

But if you mean level and category of magick I'll say there are perhaps three types of magick..

High magick : ceremonial or most done for self growth or experience

Low Magick: Day to day common stuff like health, job, love etc.

Alchamy: Spiritual Alchamy ( I have no knowledge of this field)

Blessed Be!

That depends a lot on the ritual, and the tradition you are following, as some traditions will include rituals but with their own specifics.

For example, there are some rituals which require no actual tools -- only visualization and intent, while performing the ritual. But another tradition may use that ritual, and incorporate some physical items such as candles, representations of deities, and other symbols.

Some rituals are written with a list of very specific items, such as symbolic representations of cardinal directions, elements, entities, candles, and so-on.

It can vary widely.
