Trust me when I say you do not want to experience sleep paralysis. It's a very scary thing to experience coming from someone who's experienced it twice.

There are much more effective ways, and safer ones for that matter to be able to astral project, you can find many articles here to help you with that.

Sleep paralysis is not something that you can control. It's quite freaky when you experience it. I've had to "roll" myself out of it before. It's not fun. You wake up in a state where you're half asleep and half awake, and you just can't move. I don't think you can AP during this, because your body tries to react by moving. Try basic guides or online tutorials for Astral projecting.

I've had sleep paralyse. It's not really bad for me. Some say sleep paralyse is when an imp is on someone. Or when a demon grows big and heavy on someone's chest.

Try to give a subject to the forum post. It makes more people respond or look at it.

For me to sleep paralyse I have to stay up late and become tired. It works best if you watch a horror at night without friends or listen to creepy paters. Then make your room pitch black, take out phones and such that can distract you. Make sure you're tired and scared then lay down on the bed. If you feel yourself falling asleep, role around a bit to keep yourself awake. Eventually sleep paralyse will happen and you will be terrified. Also you shouldn't go to the astral plane in this state because it will have a negative effect on you.
There are other methods through meditation that don't scare you but still makes you paralysed. This is just one method and works for me if I want to be scared. It doesn't scare you that much when you know what's happening but my first time scared me.

I also don't recommend it because it can lead to insomnia.

Sleep paralysis is not anything you prepare to do, and has nothing to do with magick, etc. It is a body's non-reaction to being awake yet. Your mind is waking up, but the part that causes you to move your body isn't awake enough yet. That's it. Not a big deal. But it can be scary if you don't know what it is. I have experienced it only once, that I can remember, and it takes only seconds for that part of the brain to finish waking up. It can seem longer, but it really isn't. Most of all, it is normal, just an experience.

NO no you don`t want that experience.

Trust me it`s scary as all hell, it actually hurts how helpless you are, and I actually felt pain when it happened to me.

As for astral projection I have no idea but I actually believe it would actually be harder than using normal way.
