Sister over using Ouija
By:
I just made an account, I have been enjoying topics on this site for a few years now, but since yesterday, my sister has been using a Ouija board, she is claiming all sorts of things, from Shadows, to poltergeist, she made a Ouija board out of a sheet of paper, I am no expert on these boards, nor do I want to be, and she is also using a quarter as a planchet. When we came home from school today, she made another 6 boards, after she burned one last night, she thinks she knows what she is doing, and something I chuckled at was the fact she is using neon pink yarn as a circle, she is using one right now actually, right next to my room, where she says she is getting the best results. She also broke what I have always believe to be a big no-no, using a board with only one person, and taking your hands off the board without saying goodbye. I am still in the "broom closet". I really don't know what to do, do I kick myself out of the closet, and confront her on it? Advice would be great!

If you see something wrong and potentially dangerous, you can't stand idly by. That should be an obvious decision if you think it may harm her or anyone. Do what it takes to prevent any harm from being done.

the improvised board should be no problem you can just use a place mat and a glass if you feel like it and doing it alone should not be a problem as my experience gos and the goodby is circumstantial as long as she doesn't summon anything too dark or go is anyone out there you can just get rid of them latter, but if you're worried a horror film might do the job a good fright always helps people stay in line

The problem is - you never know who will come..
so those precautions are considered necessary.

This is something I have heard of. It's most common name is "Ouija addiction". It happens often when one becomes too attached to the adrenaline rush, or shock factor, that comes with one answering the board. This results in them always wanting to get more and more of that, sometimes they just have so many questions that they use it a lot, but in your circumstance this does not seem to be the case.

She is mindlessly endangering herself, you, and whomever else lives in the same house.

If you feel it is needed, bless your home and when she's not around, bless all the boards and if possible, keep Amethyst or Sage in every room. Such things should lower the risk factor of any negative spirit infiltrating your domain.

Coming out of the broom closet to her could be a good idea. You might want to get this "issue" under controll ,because it is becoming an issue, and if she threatens to tell, keep a copy of one of the boards. (Wrap it on a cloth after folding it up to keep it "safe").

An Update...

So far, my sister has not used a Ouija board since I started the topic, between my parents telling her to stop, as she was terrifying my younger sisters, I also wrote "Leave us alone" in Theban on a scrap of paper, and slipped it under her door, and left her to do her own research on it, It was cruel but I think I got the point across. She would also never think it was me, because I don't talk about anything to do with spirits or anything related. Regarding what she had said about the spirits in the house, she claimed there were 9 separate entities in the house, I like to believe I am somewhat sensitive to this sort of thing, and the only thing I have ever felt in the house, is residual energy that I assume is from when the house on the adjacent lot burned down, but the house was owned by our family, and was due to an electrical fire. So unless I am completely insensitive, she is lying, I don't understand why she would be lying though. I'll admit during the 3 or so days she was spending hours using a Ouija board daily, that the energy in the house was a little "heavier" but nothing felt necessarily malevolent like she was claiming. This is the 2nd house she has claimed a large number of entities has occupied, and just like the first, I have felt nothing, maybe she is unintentionally manifesting things herself? She has been talking about it with a friend of hers, like it is something they plan to do more often, at this point, she is making the spiritual upkeep of our home a serious chore for me, further advice would be great, any ideas and comments are welcome too. Also, thank you for all of your replies!

You should cleanse the house wither with salt or sage smoke (or both) sometime when everyone is out since you're still in the broom closet. Advice your sister to take protective measures when dealing with spirits. If she asks what kind, you could tell her to search on her own, and that you thought it'd be important since ouija boards are dangerous. If your family is religiously strict, you probably should continue hiding your identity. If they're more liberal and would listen if you had to explain, you could come out. Above all, stay safe.
