Advanced Wicca Books

For those of you who have been practicing Wicca for a number of years and who want to move beyond the Wicca 101 books here are some books that I'd suggest:

" Castings " by Ivo Dominguez

" A Study of Witchcraft " by Deborah Lipp

" Devoted to You " by Judy Harrow

" The Elements of Ritual " by Deborah Lipp

" The Other Side of Virtue " by Brendan Myers

" Covensense " by Patricia Crowther

" Wicca Coven s" by Judy Harrow

" Gerald Gardner and the Cauldron of Inspiration " by Phillip Heselton

" Witch Fathe r" by Phillip Heselton

" Religion Without Beliefs " by Fred Lamond

" Spiritual Mentoring " by Judy Harrow

"T he Pagan Book of Living and Dying " by Starhawk and M. Macha Nightmare

Remember though that once you get beyond basic books on Wicca some of the best reading you will do won't necessarily be in books on Wicca but books on other topics that relate to your spiritual practices. Here's some other reading that I'd recommend:

Theology:

" Pagan Theology; Paganism as a World Religion " by Michael York

" A World Full of Gods: An Inquiry into Polytheism " by John Michael Greer

" The Deities Are Many: A Polytheistic Theology " by Jordan D. Paper

Ethics:

" When, Why...If " by Robin Wood

"An Ye Harm None: Magical Morality and Modern Ethic s" by Shelley Rabinovitch & Meredith MacDonald

" Living with Honou r" by Emma Restall Orr

" The Other Side of Virtue " by Brendan Myers

" Ethics for the New Millennium " by the Dalai Lama

Living Mindfully:

" The Miracle of Mindfulness " by Thich Nhat Hanh

" Living the Mindful Life " by Charles Tart

History:

" Pagan Religions of the Ancient British Isles " by Ronald Hutton

" Stations of the Sun " by Ronald Hutton

" Triumph of the Moon " by Ronald Hutton

Personal Transformation:

" Make Magic of Your Life: Passion, Purpose, and the Power of Desire " by T. Thorn Coyle

" Kissing the Limitless " by T. Thorn Coyle

Magick:

" Modern Magick " by Donald Michael Kraig

" The Veil's Edg e" by Willow Polson

" The Path Through the Labyrinth " by Marian Green

Wow, thanks for this. I would like to add a book.

The Goddess is in the Details by Deborah Blake

In the book she speaks about living as a witch, how to incorporate your spirituality into your daily life as well as different activities to help you grow, and books for further information on certain topics she covers in the book like raising kids and holidays.

Thank you so so much for this post! After reading many Wicca 101 books and putting what I've learned to practice (building relationships with deity, quietly observing sabbats and esbats), it's been hard to find stuff that isn't for total beginners. I don't get why books on advanced Wicca are less common though?

If i may add one. This book can go both ways.

Wicca For Life- By Raymond Buckland.
While offeribg basics, and tips. The book also teaches you to how to do rituals, gives several rituals, songs and chants, spells, astrology, herbs and rocks. It discusses the gods in all aspects and overall teaches you how to let your religion run more smoothly in your life.

It can be looked as a encyclopedia. For newbies and oldies.
