Mentor

I'm looking for a mentor to teach me healing magic and herbalism. I am going to buy the Scott Cunningham books, but I need someone, a real person to help guide me. I want to learn the medicinal as well as magickal properties of herbs, and how to heal people using magick. As well as basic Wiccan knowledge, such as tricks for meditation, casting circles, and making a wand to help me focus energy if that is recommended, because I have only just started practicing Wicca and do not know all that much... :)

Scott Cunningham books, are very wise to have. They are reconmended by various spell casters. However you do not need anyone. But, others prefer to be teached solo or with an Mentor. Do what is best for you and your studies. Look for the right teacher, read books to make sure you are on the right track. And to show your mentor that you are devoted enough to be under his/her wing.

I understand the Scott Cunningham books are not necessary, but as they will further increase my knowledge, and I have money to spend on them, I feel it the right choice to do so.
As for dedication, I strayed once, before I even delved in to far, but I have inevitably been drawn back, and found something intrigues me greatly.
