I don't know how old your friend is or what his life is like, but I'd point out that it is no doubt lack-luster for a 3000+ year old savior full of gods.

Trying to convince him otherwise would just waste your time. Encouraging it would only cause him go deeper into this denial. Just kindly tell him that if he wants to continue speaking with you, he needs to grow up and quit with this nonsense. If he doesn't stop then don't waste your time, just block him. The only thing he can do then is save himself.

Ok I get that you think it is funny. I really do. But why create a post and make fun of him or her for it? In my opinion your no better than a cheerleader who makes fun of a nerd for being different.

I think someone who has been through all that can't get too much more from life by using magick lol. I would agree and teach him what you know. Assuming you are not a fluffy too (no disrespect meant, I'm just speaking situationally), start by teaching him the boring old basics of grounding and centering and creating sacred space, the moon phases, the elemental associations, etc. Take him seriously and he will either learn something, or be disappointed and leave you alone.

I'd tell him that if he was really that old he should know how to teach himself by now.

That fact that these individuals haven't grown up enough or were missing the day when in life science they were told about dna and how it makes us what we are, If you feel put upon that the serious practitioners are tired of their antics I am sorry but this site is supposed to be about magick and witchcraft, and pagan studies, these people want to be twilight vampires, werewolves and mermaids, I after 45+ years of practicing find it offensive and disheartening. The fact that no amount of logic will desuade their desires is what is wrong with this site, and people whomake excuses and feel butt hurt because we bring it to light are just as guilty as the perpetrators. Grow up and become the witch, pagan, or what ever you want just as long as it is within the confines of natural science and biology. I toned this down as I was thinking like a military man and would have reamed some, but I am a civilized person and brought out my points.

Yes it is kinda insulting but what do you expect after years of hollywood tampering, this is more of a beginner site and having kids come on hear should be expected, you shouldnt insult them. You shouldnt lauugh at them. You should try to lead them in the right direction. If you insult them then they will leave the magical path forever because you insult them. If you lead them in the right direction they could grow and mature.

Amane regardless of how your associate got to the results of thought he now believes, the best step you can take is to kindly explain to him what magick is and what it isn't. If he can grasp that concept then enforce the understanding with the fact that you can help lead him to the information needed to start down this type of path and ask him to remain open minded. Typically when starting out and after hours of reading and study, people with these types of grand illusions start to sort things out for themselves and come to the realization that what they thought to begin with isn't exactly how things really work.
But be aware if you choose to take this type of person on, you will need to remain open-minded, compassionate, and patient yourself.
Blessings & I hope it works out.

WE have tried to reason with them but their attitude is we are full of it and they are right, They just will not listen, how many spells for vamps, weres, mermaids, have you seen on here, or how they are becoming mermaids. I had one tell me he met areal vampire who has promisedto make him a vampire. We are not trying to insult them, their ideas and attitudes are an affront to those who really want to study the craft.
