Here is a spot for all of us to put what we think newbies should know when working with magick. These can include warnings for certain type of spells, a list and teachings of the basics, and so many other things one should learn and know before doing anything magickal.

Weither you believe in it or not all should be warned about the Three-Fold Law and also about Karma. For Karma can be a real big pain in the rear.

First and foremost, open and a line your chakras when you have become comfortable with meditate.

Spell work needs to wait until you have gotten a solid grasp on your chakras.

Read things and cross reference them. Do not take one persons thoughts as the only gospel.

I warn you to not try anything if you feel the risk is greater than the gain.

I agree about your chakras. You can't work well with magick unless you are a tuned to it.

A note on chakras, don't just try to open your third eye, I've seen many posts asking how to do this. You have to work on ALL your chakras, not just one.

Use your common sense (even though it isn't that common anymore). If something isn't good to do without the use of magick than it's probubly not good to do with the use of magick. Some examples of this would be: forcing someone to love you, murder, trying to change your DNA, hurting someone, ect...

In my Opinion one must know::::

Basics of Magic(k) / Wizardry- The basics.

More advanced Magic(k) / Wizardry- The higher up things.

Psychic Arts- Just like what the title says.

Advanced Psychic Arts- If there is one it should be obvious what it is.

Healing- Again obvious healing of cut injurys and infections etc.

Advanced Healing- More advanced healing things major cuts and injurys major infections etc.

Divination- Predicting future (If i need soem seer things or something I might not have how do I know if I have it or should I forget it)

Advanced Divination- You know (Im not trying to be ruid on any of these Its just annoying to type the same stuff)

Alchemy- Transmutation, Silver>Gold, Stuff like that.

Advanced Alchemy- Same as above just more advanced.

Beast Mastery- Magical creatures info, talking with normal animals.

Advanced Beast Mastery- Magical creatures interaction understanding and speaking, taming all creatures.

Dark Arts (Defense)- obvious what it is but just in case it is not I want defense against the dark arts.

Dark Arts (Normal)- Not evil stuff just stuff like little hexes or jinks or something as long as it is not evil. If you dont think I should do this one please stop me. Please Im not evil dont make me.

Charms- Maybe I dont know if they exist but like charming objects to do things.

Advanced Charms- See above but more advanced.

Transfiguration- Changing appearence of yourself and other objects or things. (if possible.)

Advanced Transfiguration- See above but more advanced.
