Profile Tips

Okay, so I don't personally don't know if this kind of post has been done, but I really think people should really learn a bit about placing information and hopefully inspire people on what they can place on their profiles, now this isn't to insult anyone in any way, just to help them gain inspiration on stuff they can place on their profile, rather than leaving it empty or one lined.

  • Brief introduction about you.
  • Your interests in magic.
  • Explain some of your knowledge.
  • Your current studies.
  • Meaningful quotes.
  • A little bit of a background story.

Your profile is like your own customizable page, the information helps us get to know you, and possibly find people that relate to you. You know there is so much more you can place on your profile than just, "Hello, I have been interested in magic for a long time," it's nice to know you are interest in magic, but can you get a little deeper, what part of magic drew you in? Have you done some studying about magic?

Your profile doesn't have to be just a place for your accomplishments, it could be a place to explain what you would like to study, you can explain what your current thought on magic are, and so much more.

Now a couple of things you would want to avoid while making your biography;

  • Placing phone numers.
  • Placing email addresses
  • Placing addresses.
  • or anything else that breaks the site rules.

If you do one of the above you could end up being gagged, and that wouldn't be a great impression.

Also, additionally, posting pornographic images on your account is also, against the rules and having an open public album that showcases pictures for a more adult audience, that is also against the rules

People should never give out personal information to those you don't know there are many scammers out there,
It's recommended that people should put information in there bio, included their age to know if we are addressing a child or an adult, including their years of study, what they are currently studying and practicing, what they have already studied

What people shouldn't put on their profiles copyrighted material, and content or images that are against the terms and service of which they agreed to when they joined this website,

Is it alright if I tell someone what state I live in? I don't want to get gagged.

If it wasn't alright Petrarca wouldn't have allowed members the option to do so, giving out exact addresses though is, it's releasing private information.

Most Covens look to your profile bio when you apply to them, I think this would be a good tip.

When you're updating/adding/taking away stuff from your bio, You should check your grammer and spelling. It doesn't make a good impression if you have text talk in your bio. It makes you look like you are not serious about anything. Having proper grammer, spelling etc A nice cleaned up bio, Is more likely to get you accepted into a coven.

In the end though, your bio is about you and this is meant to guide you for what your bio could ( or should ) look like.

I hope this helps.
