Booklust

I tend to have a little problem with something I call booklust. You see a blank book, lined or unlined, leatherbound or hard cover, and instantly fall in love with it. My problem is, I haven't finished writing in my previous book yet.

I had this problem last night. I found this beautiful striped journal with silver page edges. But my issue? I haven't finished writing in my current BoS yet. Given I have a handful of pages left to go, but still.

I have severe booklust towards blank grimoires/books of shadows. I bought my first purple leatherbound one at 12, I then bought another and another and another and another, everytime I find one I love I cannot stay away.

I have about a quarter of a book completeled in each one, I have to bounce backwards and forwards to find all my information.

I am ashamed but it is a guilty pleasure that I love to have.

It really is a bad problem. I try my best to curb it but last night I really couldn't hold on. I mean, how often do you find a beautiful journal with silver edge pages? you just don't find that anywhere!

I organize and reorganize and buy more and move and shift pages from one book to another because I find yet another one that suits me needs better or speaks to me. The more the better.

I have a Booklust. But it's for the written work, published or unpublished! I have been an avid reader all my life. Even now, in old age, I read three to four books a week. My house is covered in books; in every room! Every week I give some books to a charity shop; but I still have about two thousand in the house! I also have a chest of eight drawers, each drawer full of documents!
When I die it will need a truck to carry them away!
Yup! I certainly have a Booklust!

There's really just something about words on a page, the feel of pages between one's fingers, that's so alluring and entrancing. When everyone told me I'd have to do a lot of reading to study the craft, I didn't turn away! Books are just too great!

Now that form of booklust I'm bad as brysing if it's a book on paganism of any sort or even religeons or mythology ..I must read it and I can't stop until its done ! I think it's that never ending quest for knowledge too bad I can't get ahold of those books hidden in the Vatican and a few other unnammed places

I agree. I love books. I have tried to use an electronic device to read but there is something about being able to turn the pages and the feel of the paper. It's different. Will I use it in a pinch but books are so much better.
