Asking nature?

I want to collect a little sap from a pine tree in my yard. Is there a proper way to ask the tree if it's okay?
Thank you.

Just ask if you may take some sap. After you have taken the sap, thank the tree. But, remember that if you cut a tree it will bleed! So seal the cut with a little clay; just like the old witches did.

Brysing is right on that way. But you can also use personal liquids.(I.e. Blood, spit, sweat, and especially tears would be nice to replace the clay if you can't find any.

Well, that would depend on the size of the cut. Nail varnish is good.

True. But I think personal liquids give more to The Mother than clay or nail varnish. Because your liquids have your energy in them. So when you give to the tree. You are sharing with the goddess as well.

As I said, depends on the size of the cut. And clay is part of Mother Earth!

Adding spit to the clay would add your energy along with Mother's. What better way to heal to add both!
