Acceptable to Burn
By:

Whenever I want to send something to the gods, I usually burn it. For example, I apologized to Thor (For personal reasons) I wrote him a letter, burned it outside and made some rice pudding for him as an offering. This time, I'm doing something for Loki and Sigyn. I'm doing some artwork and I know I can put it on thier altar, but I would rather burn it to honor them. (If thats acceptable)

Blessings!

But, it's acceptable, right? I just need validation.

For sure! As long as you feel their approval, you are doing right by them.

I can't speak in terms of the norse tradition, but when doing similar things I do usually burn the letter/petition.

Sure, burning sends it up to the universe. I see no problem.

In the Northern tradition, burying it is just as acceptable. I tend to burn things for certain deities, like Loki since he is related to the fire etins, and then bury other things. Either works. It's mainly about the intent.

Ah yes, burning sends it to the universe, but if you ever make a request and happen to create a "sigil" or rune,I herd some say do not burn it,or something bad would happen. I think it all depends on one's mindset,if you have no fear, you can be sure your magic works out without problems, you have to believe in your own powers. :)
