Dragon's blood ink?What is it?

I feel dragons do not exist. But Dragon gods/goddesses do.

Asking for their blood is not easy.Sorry.

Depending on your process it is easy to "mess up", the receipe itself can be found all over the internet, and quite possibly watching a few videos and reading up on the home made ink making process might be very helpful. Make sure you have enough arabic gum in your solution and are using a good resin of dracaena species, which is what the term dragon's blood is referring to. Also make sure you have it ground into a very fine powder or your ink will be lumpy.

Kobrinx, the Dragon's Blood in this case is not actually blood at all, nor is it taken from dragons. It is the resin taken from one of two sources. Indonesian Dragon's Blood resin comes from the fruit of a palm tree in Indonesia. Alternatively the Medieval Dragon's Blood resin was obtained from the bark of a tropical tree. No dragons were harmed in the making of this product. : )

The most likely cause of your problem is that you are trying to use Indonesian Dragon's Blood which will not dissolve in alcohol. The vast majority of recipes for Dragon's Blood ink came from the Middle Ages and require the medieval form of Dragon's Blood which comes from a different source and which will properly dissolve in alcohol. You might want to try obtaining some Medieval Dragon's Blood and see if that won't work better.

Here's some information and a source for both Indonesian and Medieval Dragon's Blood: http://www.otherworld-apothecary.com/botanicals/dragon_s_blood.html
