Cleanse Negative Energy

Happy Meet, I came across a spell to cleanse myself of negative energy on this sight and was a bit confused by the use of a green candle for healing from the negative energy. Thats the first spell I've seen to use a green candle instead of a light blue one for healing. My first thought was to rewrite it all together but reason crept in and now I realized this could be a learning experience. So I ask is a green candle effective in a healing spell of any kind? Any and all comments appreciated.

Green is indeed a color that can be associated with healing, whether that healing be of the body or the emotions/mind. Remember that green is associated with the Element of Earth and that Element is linked to the physical world including the body. Think of the green of new growth and new life in the spring and I think you can see where green in healing brings the same sort of energies for renewal and life.

That isn't to say that blue can't also be used for healing. Both blue and green are often associated with health and healing.

What is important here is what the color correspondence says to you on a deep level. If green doesn't mean healing to you personally then it would be better to use a color such as blue that resonates more strongly.
