antique mirrors

Does anybody know where I can find old fashion mirrors made with either bronze or silver? It would be nice to have a mirror made with silver, as silver is a special metal, in my opinion. Just the history behind silver fascinates me. You know, mirrors with a silver coating to act as the reflective agent. Does anybody know the general history of mirrors?

I want a mirror coated with silver, as a reflective agent. That would be awesome. I find silver fascinating because of the symbolism behind it.

I think your best bet is to check out antique shops, or for an economical alternative, try thrift shops, yard sales, flea markets and such.

Wow, thanks Linda. It would be nice if craft stores had these mirrors. I think I will write a little excerpt from a source on the history of mirrors, shortly.
