To summon from "fiction."
By:
I want to learn how to summon a character from a "fictional" plane. Apparently it is possible, as by Konstantinos' book "Summoning Spirits: The Art of Magical Evocation." My friends showed me this book, but I have not heard from them since.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

i think IF im reading this post right by "fictional" plane you mean spirits or things along those lines you need to let some one who "sumnons" them in their magick to explain lol cause i dont they come if they want to

Judging by her previous posts she is reffering to the belief that if you can dream it up, it exsists somewhere on a different level of exsistance. In other words, Mickey Mouse is a fully functional being somewhere out there and Tom is forever chasing Jerry.

It's not possible to bring a finctional character into this plane any other way than via movies and computers. Creating a thoughtform to keep on the AP, however is very possible.

The plane of fiction is part of the collective Imagination. They tend to be separate existences, created by the writers and readers/viewers of the work and their devoted interest to the stories (you know those stories that you just lose yourself in). Imagination is used quite frequently in magickal workings (visualization, for one, can be simplified as glorified make-believe) though the word carries a bit of stigma to it, implying that what you experience is not real. To tap into a specific fictional work will bring you to a limited plane. Books and movies end, and my theory is that they constantly loop around and around, with variations in pattern depending on personal interpretation of the story (for example, sympathizing with Voldemort versus Harry).

If you get into Chaos Magick you may find working with the archetypal energy of fictional beings much easier than from a more conservative standpoint. Because most fictional characters are meant to represent and exhibit certain qualities, and because of their artificial intelligence (meaning they are designed, versus autonomous) they are neat little packages of symbolism and energy to draw from.

Check out this person's experience invoking Buffy the Vampire Slayer for some inspiration:

Trying to find logic without a logic is not logical I guess, just like every aspect of magic itself.

It would be a posibility that you can make a servitor based on a fictionan carekter tho.

Of cors that might have some limitasions to. (depending on the one creator)
but would be a nice way to give your servitor more carekter tho.

I have a servitor based on a fictional character. I could have designed my own, but the qualities of the character were exactly what I wanted and giving it the same appearance just helps with focus. When I've made servitors not based on pre-existing images they appear in my mind as sort of bursts of clear vision. I'm a really visual person so I like the pre-formed image much better for focus purposes.

I suppose you could call on a fictional character like you would an elemental in magick? Like, instead of a sylph you call upon BatMan or something lol.

That's some of the points that I was thinking of to:)
I'm working on somthing simulare. But including many details and quite more work and so on, then the "original" servitor.
